Wouldn't Van Gogh be thrilled to see these patient folks waiting in the rain to honor him?
Matilda is so glad for her darling boots.

20 pounds
Shedding stuff. Distilling down. Twenty pounds mostly art gear. NYC airport I see A woman reading "Healing the Secular Life". A signpost I think. Where I am going to the Rift Valley far far from commercialism, consumption, materialism and stuff At the Mall. I think keeping company with wildebeests and zebras will be a healing.

Dreaming of Africa
Here I am dressed in a favorite yellow Chinese robe over striped satin pajama bottoms, an old sweater and a drape cord belt. All thrift store finds. I've pinned on the sweater souvenir pins from countries I've visited. In just a few days I'll fly to Amsterdam on my way to Tanzania, Africa. My head swells with dreams of Africa and what to pack.

Anywhere. Anywhere
To travel more. Anywhere. Anywhere.
Past smokestacks, train tracks, the row houses of Baltimore, the Susquehanna River, grain mills, mulch yards, wheat fields, the Delaware River, power plants, frozen lakes, icy beaches, seagulls, graffiti, silos, grain elevators, Sunoco fuel tanks, row houses with above ground pools just fifty feet from the train tracks, suspension bridge over the Delaware River, diesel stations, abandoned houses and warehouses, wires poles metal, billboards, sunshine beaming in all the windows warming the residents in all the houses sheltering all the trials of humanity.
