East Bound

Flying East over the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterrean Sea, The Agean Sea,and the Sea of Marmara to an ancient land.  Istanbul. This Gal is boarding the Orient Express bound for Istanbul. Several years ago I painted as part of my Bucket List. Stay tuned for updates in Turkey

Another day in Winterwonderland. Frigid temperatures outdoors. Sunny and warm inside.  Thanks to India Flint, the famed inventor of The Eco Print. I am experimenting with dyes from nature in my back yard and refrigerator

Brrrrr

My yard is covered in snow, the furnace races to keep up with the 11 degree temperature outside.
Layers are the answer. Over my long skivvies  I wrap a grey woolen mesh that was meant for who knows what.  Again thrift shop finds grant me a plaid fleece blanket and various scarves, a colorful song against the drafts.  I may join Buddy and spend the day lounging

                                                 

New Year New Ways

The material I have been waiting for.  Anticipation delicious. Between international blogging and You Tube I am learning new skills.  How to refashion family heirlooms and repurpose old scraps of silk

Packages of materials arrived today in the frigid weather warm wishes and old camellias cut before ice paid a visit.
